Despite the enticing nature of something called a Fun Fair, it is ultimately just a field full of people shouting over loud noises, residents have warned.
“For some reason people always think that Fun Fairs are going to be exciting, almost magical places” said sociologist Iain Peacock,
“Up until the point when they get there and realise they’re just in a place with lots of lightbulbs and teenagers.”
“At which point apathy will usually set in.”
“I guess it was okay” said local resident Jerome Bustyfield, “I mean, there were a few rides and had a place to eat and all that.”
“We were there for about an hour and I would say the entire experience was mildly more interesting than staying in and watching ‘Take Me Out’.”
“Overall I was wholly indifferent to the whole thing.”
“I am still unsure whether it was worth putting on shoes and outdoor clothes for.”
Midsomer Norton resident Gina DeCampo agreed,
“Laser Dome was good and it was rather nice to get out of the house, but I don’t like children because they’re all horrible little shits.”
“I might go again if it’s on next year.
Depends what’s on TV really.”
