Summer 2016 has been laid to rest at Midsomer Norton cemetery in a private yet “intimate” funeral ceremony, sources have revealed.
The season tragically passed away on May 8th 2016 at the tender age of five days, following a short yet courageous battle with a transatlantic jet stream.
Amongst those attending were seasons Autumn and Spring 2016, as well as the Solstice twins. Fellow season Winter 2016 was said to have missed the service due to “extended work commitments.”
A close friend of Summer, who wished to remained anonymous, said…
“It was a very special service. Memories may be scarce, but Summer 2016 was a trier. It will be sorely missed by those who know it.”
“Truly a life taken away too soon.
Summer 2016, we hardly knew you.”
Despite living for only five days, Summer 2016 earned a place in the top ten longest lived UK Summers of all time.
