73% of people who live in or around Midsomer Norton have at one point managed the Greyhound Pub, a survey has revealed.
The survey results come at a time when the Greyhound is once again within the throes of another “change of hands”.
Dan Dante, a supermarket checkout clerk, managed the pub several years back,
“Yeh I managed it for a while, May 15th, 16th and 17th if I’m not mistaken.”
“I was the second longest serving manager of the pub that year.”
Iain Peacock, a farmer from Welton and resident drinker, is not surprised by the latest takeover.
“I was in ‘ere one Friday a few year back, ordered 2 Jagerbombs and a pint of Guinness, n’ by the time I finished them the place had swapped hands 3 times.”
“Come to think of it, sometime between 10 and 11 that night I think I was the blooming manager.”
“Bugger me.”
