Gatherings in Frome attributed to “Potato & Seed Swap Day”

Large gatherings of people in Frome have been attributed to the town’s famous “Potato and Seed Swap” day, sources have confirmed.

Dubbed ‘the only place to go for any keen gardener or allotmenteer needs‘, the country market event is known for its exceptional deals on a variety of garden based vegetables and seeds.

As TV camera crews and music loving twenty-somethings fill the streets of Frome, council officials have been keen to stress that this is all completely normal and nothing out of the ordinary is happening.

“I heard on Twitter than I could find salad potatoes the size of watermelons here, so I’m going to try my luck” said one attendee.

A council spokesperson has said –

“Despite many going in the wrong direction, we’d like to confirm that everyone is here to enjoy the agricultural delight of our potato and seed swap day, which, may I confirm, features plenty of children friendly activities.”

“Yes, yes, I did hear something utterly unimportant and tedious is happening at the Cheese & Grain venue. But that’s enough about that.

Now taste these juicy King Edward potatoes.

They’re fucking super.”
