Ollie the Otter to retire from public eye

Troubled veteran celebrity Ollie the Otter – who shot to fame after being spotted on the River Somer way back on December 11th 2014 – is to retire from public life after a series of drug fuelled meltdowns.

Ollie’s illustrious career saw him win the collective hearts of Midsomer Norton residents, as well as a number of Nature Wildlife awards.

However, following a number of controversies and incidents involving drugs and violence, insiders close to the dishevelled Otter have confirmed he is to shy away from the celebrity life.

Local squirrel and close friend Jerome Bustyfield said in a statement this morning,

“The last time we saw Ollie, he was drunk outside a Bath nightclub. He had shaved off all his fur and was mumbling incoherently about being the second Jesus or something.”

Reports suggest Ollie is to check himself into rehab before retiring to a quiet spot in the Cotswolds somewhere.
